WHAT DO WE BELIEVE ABOUT GOD?

We strongly believe in the good news of Jesus The Christ (The Messiah). We believe that through His sacrifice He restored us back to God and healed our temporal lives, and saved us from eternal damnation in Hades and the Lake of Fire. This is why we believe in the clear preaching of the gospel accompanied by signs, healings, miracles, and power over the forces of darkness. It is a clear gospel that is demonstrated with power and authority.

THE TRIUNE GODHEAD

We believe in one Triune God - The Father, The Son (The Word in the beginning) and The Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7). We believe the The Father is in Jesus (The Name is Yashua in the original Hebrew) and Jesus is in The Father (John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works).

THE FATHER

We believe the Father is in Jesus (The Name, Yashua, in the original Hebrew), and Jesus is in the Father.

John 14:10

"Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works."

THE SON

We believe in Jesus (The Name Yashua in the original Hebrew) the Christ (The Messiah, Saviour of the world), God's only begotten Son. With the Father from eternity as the WORD. Conceived of the Holy Spirit, born from the Virgin Mary on the Earth, sinless in His life, and making atonement for the sin of the world by His shed blood and death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His high priestly intercession for His people. We believe in His personal, visible and triumphant return to the world at the end of this age according to His promise. (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:14; Hebrews 10:9; John 1:29; 1 John 2:1-2; John 14:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; and Acts 1:11).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who comes forth from The Father and The Son to convict the world of sin, to convince the world of righteousness, and of judgment, and to regenerate, baptise, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus The Christ. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of The Father and The Son (John 15:26; John 16:8-11; Romans 6:3-6; 1 Corinthians 12:13; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; and 1 Peter 1:1-3).

MAN

We believe that man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are sinners by nature and by choice. (Genesis 2:15-17; and Romans 3:10-12, 23).

REPENTANCE

God now commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30). Man needs to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

SALVATION

We believe that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). We believe that all who believe by faith, Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, are born again of the Holy Spirit and, therefore, become children of God. We believe that justification means that a person is declared righteous in the sight of God by grace through faith in Christ. (John 1:12; Romans 3:21-26; Ephesians 1:13; 2:8-10).

BAPTISM

We believe that baptism is an integral part of the salvation journey and should be observed when physically possible. It is absolutely necessary as part of your salvation journey with the exception of when it is not possible such as the thief who repented on the cross next to Jesus. In baptism we are buried and resurrected with Jesus (Colossians 2:12), our sins are washed away (Acts 22:16), and we get a new identity (Colossians 3:10).

SPEAKING IN TONGUES

We believe that all born-again believers are able to speak in a spiritual language unique to their spirit (1 Corinthians 14:18 ). This is not to be confused with the prophetic gift of tongues as mentioned in (1 Corinthians 12:10) which is for the building up and encouragement of the church.

THE CHURCH

We believe in the Church - a living, spiritual body in which Jesus The Christ is the Head and of which all regenerated people are members. We believe that a visible church is a company of believers in Jesus Christ, buried and resurrected with Him in baptism and associated for the purpose of leading believers toward maturity through worship, instruction, fellowship and evangelism. We believe that The Christ has committed to the local church, the ordinances of Baptism and Communion to be observed until He comes, and that The Christ has committed to the church the responsibility to proclaim to a lost world their need to accept Jesus The Christ as Saviour and to recognise Him as Lord.

HUMAN RESPONSIBILITY

We believe that every human being has responsibility to God alone in all matters of faith and salvation (Romans 14:11-12).

STATUS IN ETERNITY

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost (Matthew 25:46).

GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

God gives us ministering gifts (see 1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
